Postgraduate Myofascial Release Foundation Course

MFR Foundation is presented in two 3-day modules with time for integrating new techniques and 'feel' for the fascia between modules. The next MFR course, held in Brighton on the south coast of the UK, is scheduled for 18th - 20th February 2009 and 14th - 16th April 2009. The cost is £750 and we ask for a deposit of £250 on booking and £250 at the start of each module.

In the first module, 80% hands-on, we teach the principles of MFR, the reasoning and physiology behind this modality, and all the basic structural techniques from gross cross-hand stretches through to focused release, scar tissue treatments and rebounding as well as dural tube work and MFR 'from the inside out'. We also introduce the concept of clients unwinding. After this first module you will know how and when to apply each of these techniques.

In the second module, when participants are familiar with the basic techniques and have had hands-on experience with their own clients we go more into the further application of techniques with individual clients, and with clients as they are unwinding. Knowing how to integrate several techniques with one move and to both guide and follow a client's own natural unwinding is key to success in MFR and the second module is therefore almost entirely hands-on.
